Kin Food
I have a friend who is demonkin who has said that the best thing they have found to combat cravings for human souls/flesh is to combine pork, chicken, and eggs. Just thought I would share that little tip, and say that I absolutely LOVE this blog.

is it common for faekin to get cravings for raw or rare meat?
Anonymous

I don’t see why it wouldn’t be. There’s so many, many, many types of fae out there. I mean, seriously. I’ve got friends who could ramble for hours about carnivorous fae, I’m sure.

Don’t let your cravings weird you out or confuse you, darling. I’m sure they’re perfectly natural.

To add, it’s also possible that your human body is simply craving something for nutrition, and it has nothing to do with your kinself. People with argot poisoning will crave milk, because it’s the cure! There’s foods your human body needs and wants, even if your kinside doesn’t like it. Have you ever seen a lion try to eat a salad?

faekin whos been having a craving for lavender recently here. it looks like you don't have a lavender tag, do you have any good recipes using it?
Anonymous

We have a few things tagged for Lavender

If you don’t see the tag listed, just try typing it in the URL

Do you have any mermaid-inspired food suggestions? I've looked all over Tumblr and haven't really been able to find any:s
Anonymous

We have a merfolk tag.

A dragonkin here who read your last ask, and I've gotta say, I tried the bloomin onion recipe(I was so excited), but somehow I managed to mess it up along the way and it came out as a black, crispy mess. Needless to say, I was disappointed, so I made myself a meaty chili and all was well. Should I submit it if I can find the written instructions?
Anonymous

Yes, definitely! Submit anything and everything you want. Food is good, all food is good, all submissions are good.

Foxkin suggestion: yummy cream cheese crepes topped with berries (i like rasberries or strawberries the most) and whipped cream is delucious

Hey, i have a bit of a problem. I'm a bearkin, so i like all kinds of meat, from birds to fish. I've been together with my girlfriend for about a year now, and she's a deerkin. But lately, as we've talked about her experiences as deerkin, I've gotten a sudden urge to taste venison. But she thinks it would be like I'd eat one of her own, is there any other option you could recommend?

We’re finally getting to your ask, grumpy relationship advice bearkin.

Like Lion said, talk to your girlfriend about it. We can’t magically come up with a way for you to eat venison and not upset her. We can suggest meat substitutes! Like tofu! But we can’t be like “yes just eat the venison”. Talk to her. Work out boundaries and whys and see if maybe she’ll let you try it.

Good luck, bud.

I know that you're only a recipe blog, but do you happen to know of any advice blogs geared towards kin?
Anonymous

There’s my personal kinblog, there’s a link to that in the FAQ I think. And on that blog there is a resources page. Beyond that, I have no idea. Our followers might know, but Lion and I don’t have any involvement whatsoever with the “kinmunity” here.

I've noticed you get a lot of repeat questions, you should try putting a disclaimer in the askbox saying to check the tags for answers before asking. After that you can ignore any repeated questions because they should know to check the tags after seeing that
Anonymous

The tags page is plastered everywhere.

We’ve handled this before.

I’ve already said I’m going to delete any repeat questions.

There haven’t been repeat questions posted lately.

Thank you for the advice, but this blog is being taken care of.

-Wolf

We also a have a very well-crafted FAQs page. Sadly, we can’t make people read them. -Lion
For your raw vegan faekin, there's a youtube show from tastemade called "Raw. Vegan. Not gross" that posts about once a week. There's stuff like Beet Lasagna, Peach Lavender Popsicles, and Lavender and Beet Cheesecake that would probably fit the bill.
